Among all the recent millenium exhibits to hit Moscow-s artistic scene, the current exhibition at the Moscow Union of Artists is perhaps one of the most exquisite.

Celebrating a century of Moscow engravings, there are more than 700 works by 250 Moscow artists on display.

Once upon a time, engravings were a popular feature in Russian nobility-s estate households. In Moscow, this fine art boomed when artist Ignaty Nivinsky set up a studio in 1912. His studio soon became something of a mecca for the masters of the trade and was later made into the artistic association "Moscow Estamp" (or Moscow engravings).

The exhibition runs until Feb. 10
