Pop band Na-Na and their manager Bari Alibasov were invited as honorable guests to the 30th annual American Music Awards, which took place in Los Angeles recently, the weekly Komsomolskaya Pravda reported. Although the top awards went to American stars, Russia also had something to be proud of in relation to the event. Na-Na and their manager were allocated seats in the very center of the hall, with the American stars Britney Spears, Eminem, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and Christina Aguilera around them. Speaking to a Komsomolskaya Pravda correspondent by telephone, a member of Na-Na said: "I beg the pardon of all American music fans, but I must say that what impressed and entertained us the most here was not getting acquainted with Christina Aguilera or Sheryl Crow. Shortly before the ceremony began, an announcement was broadcast strongly recommending everybody to visit the toilet. The thing is that the ceremony lasts for four whole hours, during which it is categorically forbidden to leave the hall. Believe me, seeing world-famous stars standing in long lines for the toilets is something very impressive."
