Pop duet Gosti iz budushchego (Guests from the Future) are set to record their hit "Lyubi menya po-frantsuzky" (Love Me French-Style) in French, the daily Zhizn reported. In Russian, "love French-style" is a euphemism for oral sex.

The idea of making a French-language version of the hit came from the producer of the French musical channel MCM, Jean-Pierre Terrier, a friend of Eva Polna and Yury Usachyov - who, together, are Gosti iz buduschego.

While in Paris, Polna and Usachyov played their promo disc at a party where Terrier was present. After listening to it, Terrier asked to hear "Love Me French-Style" again, and then said the song had the potential to become a European hit. The producer offered to arrange the French release of the song.

"We're going to work with Terrier on French lyrics for the song," Usachyov told Zhizn. "At one time I knew French quite well, and I'm sure the translation won't be a problem. We're planning to go to France and start recording before the end of this month."
