Pop singer Alyona Apina has found a heroine for her planned detective novel - none other than police officer Oksana Fyodorova, the former Miss Universe, the weekly Komsomolskaya Pravda reports. Apina has been interested in the detective genre for a long time, but basically as a reader. But when she met famous Russian detective writer Darya Dontsova, she started thinking about trying her hand as a detective-story writer.
The idea probably would have remained just that - an idea - had it not been for Apina's recent encounter with Fyodorova. "The moment I met her, it dawned on me that she would be the perfect prototype for the heroine of a detective novel," Apina told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
"She [Fyodorova] is a police captain and, at the same time, she is an exceptionally clever and beautiful woman. I told Oksana about my idea, and she liked it very much.
"Now, every time I've got some free time I lock myself up alone in my study and get busy writing the detective novel. Once in a while, I call Oksana to ask questions about police and criminal terminology,"
