Spend New Year's in Sochi at the Radisson SAS Lazurnaya for $389 for four days and three nights from Dec. 30 to Jan. 4. New Year's entertainment includes your choice of two nightclubs and three restaurants, each with its own entertainment program, plus fireworks. Check out the big tree in the lobby.
Sheraton Palace*
Partiers will enjoy a 1001 Arabian Nights party at the Sheraton Palace on Tverskaya for New Year's. The hotel will also be offering a special room rate for ringing in the New Year and brunch in the Lomonosov Restaurant.
Mezhdunarodnaya Hotel
Fairy tales and a strip show are on the menu for the World Trade Center's party this year. You can also take advantage of their special $100 rate on a room. The holiday dinner costs $255 per person or $125 for children. You can buy a New Year package including a room and dinner for two people for $610.
Marriott Grand Hotel
Moscow's flagship Marriott hotel will be throwing a Brazilian carnival-themed party to welcome in 2003. They have room specials from $150 to $215. You can also pick one of three New Year's dinners priced from $333 to $444.
Marriott Aurora
Two meals are on the menu at the Aurora. One restaurant will be serving a Spanish dinner and the other a seafood selection. You can spend the night in the hotel for $200. They also promise an entertainment program.
Marriott Tverskaya
A cheap way to celebrate the coming New Year in style. Rooms cost $75 for the night, but dinner is a bit pricier, at $190.
Iris Congress Hotel
New Year's dinner and brunch plus the ubiquitous show and disco are on hand at the Congress Iris Hotel. Entertainment and a room for the night costs $290, plus a 10 percent discount for those who booked before Dec. 10.
Baltschug-Kempinski Hotel
The Baltschug is holding a New Year's Eve party in their Atrium Hall, which seats 160 people. The festivities start at 9 p.m., continuing on until 5 a.m., and cost $380 for adults and $190 for children under 12, including taxes. The evening includes contests, lotteries, games, comedy, La Vita group, Phonograph Jazz Band led by Sergei Zhilin and a performance by Leonid Agutin. Full buffet, free-flowing French champagne, French wines and Hennessey cognac.
Le Meridien National Hotel
The New Year's festivities at the National cost $400 and will be taking place in four rooms: the St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Vladimirsky and Moskovsky, all with views of the snowy Kremlin. Chef Anatoly Galkin's New Year's menu will feature both Russian and French creations, and party guests can also look forward to entertainment from pop star Valery Syutkin and Anzhelika Varum, dancing, a lottery and presents. Those who rent apartments at half-price on New Year's Eve can cure their hangovers on New Year's Day in the wave pool or work out in the gym.
Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel
The theme of the Radisson's New Year's Eve party is Moulin Rouge. The cover is $247 per person, including VAT, and guests should arrive at 9 p.m. in the lobby bar of the hotel. From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., their Premium Bar and dinner will be available at the hotel's Talavera and Balaganchik restaurants. Entertainment at the bash will be the bands Reflex and Star Express. The hotel is also offering a New Year's special: For $99 you can stay in the hotel until 4 p.m. on Jan. 1. Try their brunch with vodka, rum and whiskey and their gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi to help you relax after New Year's Eve.
Novotel Moscow Centre
New Year's at Novotel costs $195 per person, with children under 12 getting in for half price and children under six free. The festivities begin at 9:30 p.m. with a buffet, French wine, Russian champagne, vodka, water and juice all free flowing. Entertainment includes live music, a ballet show, dancing and a lottery. Staying over at the hotel on New Year's Eve costs $90 for two, including a breakfast buffet and use of the hotel gym.
