Pop star Alsou Safina (aka Alsou) has indefinitely postponed her planned trip to the United States, the daily Zhizn reported. She had planned to go to Los Angeles to start work on her new English-language album.

Apparently, the teenage star’s parents convinced her to put off the trip, worrying about her safety.

"Although our daughter is currently in London, we are very worried about her," Alsou’s mother, Roza Safina, told Zhizn. "She had already bought a ticket to fly to the States, but due to the events we all know about, my husband and I persuaded her to postpone the trip.

"Of course, she was angry with us because she didn’t want to change her plans. After all, the postponement means she will have to work very hard later to make up for the lost time. I must admit that we put some pressure on her – because it will be safer for her. Also, I demanded that she immediately return to Moscow. My husband and I will feel better if our daughter is with us during this troubled time."
