Producing is no longer the sole occupation of Na-Na band’s producer Bari Alibasov, the weekly Mir Novostei reports. Not long ago he began teaching the art of production in one of Moscow’s higher educational institutions. And he maintains that his primary motivation is not money but concern for the future of Russian show business.

But the latest gossip concerning Alibasov seems to leave him with little opportunity to find any patriotic explanations. Increasingly persistent in Moscow artistic circles are rumors that Alibasov is working on a sex-shop project. Moreover, rumormongers maintain that the name of the future chain of X-rated stores will be Na-Na.

When asked by Mir Novostei what was specifically patriotic and caring for the younger generation about the sex-shop project, Alibasov replied: "Why isn’t it an example of concern for other people? People will start having more sex and there will be more children born in the country.

"Your information about the chain’s name is incorrect," Alibasov added. "Its name will not be ‘Na-Na,’ but ‘Dai-Dai,’" he joked [in Russian, Na-Na means Take-Take, and Dai-Dai means Give-Give]."
