
MOSCOW - Criminal liability for conscript’ illness and death in Magadan is instituted against three officers by military prosecution office. Acting formation commander of Siberia military district Mikhail Chizh, senior aide to the head of military communications service department of Far East military district Vladimir Satsava and acting commander of frontier troop Oleg Kostryukov were set charges in criminal negligence, resulted in the soldier’s death. Today military prosecution office also sent documents to Russian defense Minister and Head of the Frontier Forces papers, instituting likely liability to several other officers.
Meantime, Moscow region governor Boris Gromov ordered to pay money assistance to the relatives of the deceased soldier, an 18-year-old Vladimir Berezin, citizen of Moscow region. His family will receive 40 thousand rubles.
