TBILISI - Georgian right-wing opposition representatives insist on Georgia's withdrawal from the CIS. The lawmakers have been offered to discuss the issue at today's parliamentary meeting.
Right-wing lawmakers believe that Georgia should not stay together with Russia even within the framework of the CIS as Moscow is threatening Tbilisi with violating its territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Georgian parliament should react adequately, they say.
However, not all Georgian parliamentarians stick to this position. Those who oppose this idea insist on signing a framework agreement on cooperation with Russia. Otherwise, Georgia may darken its relations with Russia.
