MOSCOW — While the liberalization of the market for Gazprom shares and Rosneft's loss of independence are approaching, the number of controversial statements made by the two companies will increase. Analysts with United Financial Group have expressed this opinion, commenting on yesterday's unofficial information saying that the government was revising the details of the Gazprom-Rosneft deal.
Analysts are pointing to certain nervousness that this information brought to the market. However, Gazprom has intimated that it will not agree with any changes and seems not to be agreeing to less than full control over Rosneft or a controlling stake in the merged Rosneft and Yuganskneftegaz.
Analysts with Prospect Investment say the Gazprom-Rosneft deal would not be completed by the time the gas holding's annual meeting of shareholders takes place.
